Birchbox CEW Prestige Box Review!

When I saw the CEW boxes at Birchbox I was sure I wanted the Mass Appeal box, but I was not quite so sure about this one.  Thankfully, the discount for buying both and a nice coupon code helped me decide to buy this one--and I am glad I did!

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil--As someone who lost most of her eyebrows in an unfortunate chemistry accident, I always have to draw mine on.  This was a good product, but I wish it had been wider and a little darker for me, but it worked very well and I was able to use a brush and make it work for me.

Julep Nail Color--I have not bought Julep in a while and I was glad to see that I have a lovely minty green color!  I had seen other pictures with pink polish and I was hoping for something a bit different.

Julep Cuticle Oil--What a nice product!

Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Triple Defense Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50--Wow!  This is a very long name for a product!  I just wish the sample size was a little larger so that I could really try it out.  It is hard to see results if you only use it once or twice.

LA Fresh Eco-Beauty Oil-Free Face Cleanser--Good travel products!

Living Proof Prime Style Extender--I will be saving this for when I straighten my hair--it rarely happens, but when I do it, I like it to stay straight for a while.

Birchbox CEW Mass Market Box Review!

This is my first time buying special edition Birchboxes, and I am thrilled!  The items are either full sized or deluxe and most will be used right away!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain--I already was a huge fan of this product and as I have paid full price for it before, I was super thrilled to get a full sized balm stain in this box!  My lips love this stuff!

Burt's Bees Ultimate Care Hand Cream--My hands are saying thank you over and over!

Nivea A Kiss of Olive Oil & Lemon Moisture Rich Lip Care--This will be perfect for dealing with dry lips in the coming winter months!

Olay Pro-X Spot Fading Treatment--Finally!  I have been wanting a treatment like this and have been getting lots of BB, CC, and DD creams instead!  All I really need is a great treatment.

Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On--What lady wouldn't want their eyes not to betray their tiredness?  Not this lady! 

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow--This was a miss for me.  I am not an eyeshadow person, but even if I was, I do not think red eyeshadow would be my choice.  Had this been another color I might have made it into a liner, but this will be going to someone else.

Although some Ipsters seem unhappy with the idea of a lip balm as an or product for lip stick, I can totally see it--some people prefer a much more natural or simple look and do not like lipstick.  Hopefully, everyone will get a product that works for their style--and remember, the bag is a great value at only $10 and free shipping!  For five items, it is a great steal!

Glossybox July 2013 Review!

Well, Glossybox did not quite equal the level of last month, or come close to beating July's Blush Mystery Beauty Box, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I did receive.  I like the types of products Glossybox includes, but their sample sizes just do not seem to warrant their price when compared to the other sample boxes.

This month's theme was le Grand Bleu--an homage to the deep blue.

Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque--I love hair masks, my wavy to curly hair needs hydration and I love that it includes protein--that seems to make a big difference for my hair!  I know some bloggers do not like getting widely available products like this in a box, but come on--hair masks are great and not everyone has tried this brand.  Had it come in a Birchbox or Ipsy bag people would have been thrilled!

Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au the Blanc Shampoo and Shower Gel--I found this scent a couple of years ago and I like it, so I am happy to try another product.  It is too bad that Glossybox is sending out multiple samples of this same fragrance--I know each sample has been of a different product, but for those who did not like it the first time, it must be very disappointing.

Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum--I was a little surprised at the small size of this sample, but it actually is 1/3 of the full sized product, so it is worth over $11.  I look forward to using this the next time one of those nasty blemishes decides to visit me!

Figs and Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm--I love this product from the UK!  It smells great, feels great, and has a great look!  It is 100% natural too!  Thanks Glossybox for sending us a product that has featured in your UK boxes--I feel a little tiny less jealous.

Nails Inc. Baker Street Nail Polish--I love blue nails, but I think I have received a few too many of them recently--perhaps subscription boxes need to choose another color?

Nicka K New York Absolute Make-up Cleansing Tissues--I wish I had these for my last trip.  While this is the cheapest item in the box, and thus was included as a "bonus", I think it is a sample that everyone will use.
