Product Review: Dr. Lipp's Original Nipple Balm for Lips

When Birchbox first asked for bloggers to review Dr. Lipp's Original Nipple Balm for Lips, I was intrigued by the product.  This product is made of 100% lanolin and thus is an all natural product--something that appeals to super-sensitive me.  Too many creams and lip products contain petroleum distillates that can cause reactions with sensitive skin--and I cannot think that anyone wants something related motor oil coating their lips or skin.

This product gets its funny name from one of its uses, soothing nipples that have been chapped due to nursing.  Although I am not a nursing mother, I have found that this product is great on dry lips and elbows, rough heels, and even on rashes.  Because of my super-sensitive skin, I am always getting rashes, and I found that this product did a great job of helping to heal a rash.  Since I am used to using prescription creams to deal with my rashes--I was very impressed.

At $14.50 for 15ml at Birchbox (http://www.birchbox.com/shop/dr-lipp-original-nipple-balm-for-lips), I think this product is going to be occupying a place in my purse, my bathroom, and my office for a very long time to come.  I just wish they sold it by the quart!

October 2013 Birchbox Review!

Due to crazy times at work, I somehow left out my review of my October Birchbox!  Sorry for the long wait!  I loved this box and I have been working my way through the products.

 

 

My favorite find was Shea Terra Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser--I should stop being shocked when I find great products through Birchbox, but I cannot help it.  This dark soap has helped both my face and my body look amazing.  Needless to say, I ordered a full size bottle immediately.  For $16 this bottle will last a very long time (maybe 6-12 months).

 

 

Staniac in Beauty Queen by theBalm--This is one of my favorite products of all time and was my first purchase from Birchbox.  I wear it almost every day as a base for my lip colors--that way, when they wear off, as the often do, I always have a nice color left behind.

 

Evologie Stay Clear Cream--I like that this is a moisturizer that also helps protect from break outs.

 

Bain de Terre Macadamia Oil Nourishing Conditioner--This conditioner does just what it says--it conditions and softens without weighing hair down.

 

ChapStick Hydration Lock--What a great find!  Not only will my lips stay hydrated, but it can also work as a lip primer!

Glossybox finally decided to release my September box!  Perhaps it is just becaus of how late they send out these boxes, but it seems like it just gets later and later each month!  I love my Glossyboxes, and they have stepped up their game recently, but I want them earlier!

Be A Bombshell Eyeliner Pen in Onyx--Very excited about this one.  I have recently started playing around with eyeliner, but I have not tried a eyeliner pen.

 

Emite Makeup Eyelash Curler--Super fancy and I love that it has a large number of refils!

 

Oceane Makeup Remover Pen--What a clever idea!  I hate having to clean-up after a makeup mistake!

The pencil looks like one of the lip pencils from a couple of months ago.
There is a loose eyeshadow (mineral?).
Some sort of cream or lotion.
A deep lip gloss of some sort (I am loving the color).
A gel that could be a gel mask--like Peter Thomas Roth (I would love this).
